BlueControl Coating - how does it help?

Smartphones, tablets, computers, televisions and GPS devices all emit blue light. Although blue light in itself is a natural phenomenon - it is present in daylight and helps us stay awake - over exposure can have a negative effect. Long exposure can lead to symptoms of eye strain, eye fatigue and even sleeplessness.

HOYA BlueControl is a lens coating that neutralises the blue light emitted by digital screens. The result is more comfortable and relaxed vision and more natrual colour perception.

We are using this more often now in prescription lenses we provide. This is a solution for people who come into contact with digital screens throughout the day, including students, gamers, young professionals, office workers, and children.
